I’m a small-town girl at heart, born and raised in Luray, Virginia. After moving to Harrisonburg, I felt inspired to finally pursue a passion that had been quietly growing for years — photography. Every time I pick up my camera, I feel a deep sense of purpose to capture real, meaningful moments that allow people to see themselves and their stories in a beautiful light.
My background is actually in science — I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master’s in Public Health. While that may seem like a leap from photography, both paths share something deeply important to me: a desire to help people. Whether I’m behind a camera or working in the community, my heart is always rooted in service, connection, and making a positive impact.
I’m also lucky to have the support of my amazing fiancé, Chris. Not only is he my biggest supporter, but he often assists me during sessions, helping things run smoothly and making sure every detail is just right. We make a great team, and having him by my side brings even more joy to the work I love.
When I’m not out capturing memories for clients, you can usually find me crocheting something cozy or spending time with my adorable kitten, Tiny. She’s not just my favorite sidekick — she’s also my most patient (and photogenic!) model. Don’t be surprised if you see her pop up on my social pages now and then!
My mission is simple: to make photography accessible, genuine, and full of heart. Whether you're celebrating a milestone or just want to freeze a fleeting moment in time, I’m here to help you tell your story — beautifully and authenticly.
My approach
My goal during every session is to create a relaxed, comfortable experience. I understand that being in front of the camera can feel unfamiliar or even intimidating — that’s why I focus on bringing a sense of ease, joy, and genuine connection to every shoot. Whether we’re laughing during a candid moment or gently guiding you into a pose that feels natural, I want your session to feel less like a photoshoot and more like spending time with a friend who just happens to have a camera in hand.
Photography is about more than just pretty pictures. It’s about storytelling, connection, and helping you feel seen. I aim to capture authentic emotions and meaningful moments that you’ll cherish for years to come.
I also strongly believe that professional photography should be accessible, affordable, and transparent. You’ll always find clear pricing listed on my website and social media, and I regularly offer seasonal promotions or discounted sessions to make my work available to more people. I never want cost to be a barrier between you and your memories.
